One of my oldest friends, Drummond Lindsey
is the person responsible for getting me into the Northwestern
world of professional hunting.
Many years ago, my brother told me about a
guy he worked with who was going to work for an outfitter in Idaho. "You
guys need to meet, he loves hunting," he said. When Drum and I finally
met some months later, we hit it off and were soon running through the
Texas Hill country- fishing, hunting arrowheads, predator calling, and
always talking about big deer. The one thing I immediately learned about
Drummond-- big bucks make him tick. When he first approached me about
going with him to Wyoming to work for Buckhorn outfitters, I jumped at
the opportunity, and thanks to him, Buckhorn hired me on. The rest is
history. Over the years, Drum and I have had more fun hunting the big
country together than one could ever imagine.
His ability to seek out and field judge
big bucks is unparalleled. He has eyes like an eagle, loves to sit and
glass, and spots hidden animals almost effortlessly. Guiding in most all
of the North Western states as well as outfitting in Sonora, Mexico,
Drummond has established himself among the hunting community as mule
deer authority and active consultant, not only for always helping his
hunters harvest big bucks, but he's the closest thing I've ever found to
a living, breathing mule deer encyclopedia. He has also written numerous
articles that have been featured in Muley Crazy magazine among others. A
super nice guy and first class host, Drummond's personable demeanor and
extraordinary customer service has always served him well in the
industry.
